GRABANDO IMPRESIONES/CARVING IMPRESSIONS

Galeria de ceramica contemporanea.

After 20 years in Israel, Abby Junge returns to Mexico with new works. For the first time, her graphic images are printed on clay, exploring a new medium. Linoleum has allowed her to express her identity, teaching her to accept imperfections, reflecting her perfectionist traits.

Her work reaffirms her identity, stamping her experiences onto paper, cloth, and now clay, driven by her departure from Mexico to Israel, enhancing her Mexicanness. The shift to ceramics stems from her evolving artistic exploration, mirroring her life's migratory decisions.

Since 2008, Abby Junge discovered the niche of social and political posters quite by accident, which has played a significant role in her development as an artist, even before she formally identified as one.
